For the VAT period starting on or after 1 April 2019, only those that are above the VAT threshold were mandated to use MTD VAT service. However, starting on or after 1 April 2022, even other VAT-Registered businesses are required to keep digital records and use MTD VAT service to submit their VAT returns to HMRC. So, from now on all the VAT- Registered businesses are required to keep digital records and use MTD VAT service to submit their VAT returns to HMRC.

We will very soon be releasing an Excel Bridging Software that integrates with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and enables interaction with HMRC MTD VAT system for submission and retrieval of MTD VAT data.
Businesses, book-keepers and accountants who are using Microsoft Excel to record VAT transactions and calculate VAT 9 Box values will be able to use this new software to submit their VAT Returns digitally.
The software will also provide features to retrieve various VAT data held and made available by HMRC.
